1. We have four rules for scoring in the post. A) Get a piece of the paint, and if you have at least one foot in the paint, no dribble. B) Shoot the ball closer to the basket than where you received the ball. C) Upon receiving the ball outside of the lane, you are allowed one power dribble. D) Use the glass on all shots unless dunking.
2. Have a go to move and a counter move.
3. You must have a move to the middle.
4. You must post high enough to use the glass on your baseline moves.
5. A good post player garners the respect of his opponent by forcing them to double team.
6. Post play is based on location, location, location.
7. Great post players are excellent free throw shooters. One third of your points as a post player should come from the foul line.
