DEL HARRIS' THREE THINGS TO AVOID

Below are three things that Coach Del Harris wanted to avoid in his motion offense:

#1 We must avoid forced shots and drives early on the clock, especially a jammed up baseline or a dead baseline. Swing the ball to break down the defense.

#2 We must avoid forced passes to the dead baseline and low post. Pass to those two areas only when you have a teammate in position to make a very positive move. But if they are not open, swing the ball and work our options or numbers on the attack side.

#3 We must avoid baseline drives unless you have a quick, sure opening. Attack middle or swing the ball.

It is obvious to see the importance of ball reversal in Coach Harris' system of offense.
