WORDS OF WISDOM FROM MR. OLYMPIA

Lee Haney, Mr. Olympia for eight consecutive years. Five-feet 11, 245 pounds with 5% body fat:

Faith
“Whatever you attain in life will be based upon your faith; be willing to take risks. You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

Vision
“Don’t be afraid to dream big dreams. Take advantage of what this country has to offer. Get a dream, and then lock onto it with intensified focus.”

Information
“Seek knowledge. You may not have all the answers, but someone does. In 1983 I had no idea how I was going to reach my goal of Mr. Olympia, but I sought the counsel of those who had gone before me.”

Attitude
“You must develop an attitude that lifts your sights from the ordinary to the extraordinary. You must develop an attitude that gives you hope, that inspires you to attempt the impossible, that challenges you to grow. A winning attitude is the world’s most desperate need. There are no hopeless situations, only people who think hopelessly. The only way you can lose in life is to defeat yourself mentally first.”
